At the Olympics, Nibs is once again one of the prime animators of a race that he doesn't win. Having Nibali in a race is almost guaranteed to liven things up. Dude's the new Boogerd, only with a more diverse skill set. ;)

He may not get the top result all the time, but he sure makes cycling fun to watch.

Nibali is simply fantastic, he gilbert and gesink where the main protagonists on GB demise.

he attacked for the first time with what? 130k to go? just insane and awesome

i still remember when i used to be mocked here back in 2010 for being one of the only nibali fans around and one of the very few if not the only one defending him as the top contender for the vuelta :eek:

Vino will hold the office of TM instead of Martinelli. The letter will be back as DS. I have no precise idea what tasks a TM expects, I guess there's a difference in decision-making power between DS and TM.

My favourite rider of this year so far. Big respect to him and Gilbert for fantastic rides yesterday, but he has been racing so aggressively and entertainingly all year.

You were mocked which is why I kept my mouth shut, but I was watching and liking what I saw :)

Well tbh in GT's he usually followed wheels and he still does a lot, but that's simply because he isn't the best climber out there. You can't really blame him for that. Just like you can't really blame Leipheimer for doing it most of the time.
Fact is that if Nibali thinks he can attack he will definately do it. He isn't afraid of failing.

Our boy is back in action starting today :)

While I don't think he'll have the form to win the overall I expect to see some action!!!

Between Alberto, Purito, a looking good Valverde, Anton in the Vuelta and the Shark in CO my cycling world is sunny :)

Nibali's future lieutenant is impressive in the vuelta!!

Expect them fight hard with SKY-PORTE in Giro next year!!
