most likely, even he couldn't win the gap between Wiggins and him will be merely a few seconds

maxmartin said:Brailsford promises to attack Nibali in the coming days.
“Today was interesting to see that when Bradley was coming back on they were riding hard but then they isolated Vincenzo in the end and I think they’ll have to have a look at that because it could leave the opportunities open to attack, which is what we’re going to do.”
“We’ll just be aggressive. We know how difficult it is to defend a jersey and we also know what we don’t like, so we’ll know what to do to make it as aggressive as possible. This race is a long way from being over,” he said, adding that the presence of Uran and Henao in the top ten overall was a positive for Wiggins.
“It gives you options and defending against too many options is always difficult. So I think that’s the thing from our point of view, we’ve got different cards to play,” he said.
What a clown. Henao is the only one who can do anything. Wiggins chances will end, once and for all, on next stage.maxmartin said:Brailsford promises to attack Nibali in the coming days.
Jelantik said:interview excerpt from Astana DS:
“We are happy Wiggins is still okay, he’s more of an ally for us. If he was further back, I’d be more worried, to tell you the truth,” Martinelli said. “The team might start to play with Sergio Henao and Rigoberto Urán. Instead, Wiggins is still the leader and there’s more tranquility.
Maybe astana knows that they got wiggins's number on the wet descend. Maybe a reason why they don't finished off wiggins on today's stage. Sounds like Henao or Uran is more likely to create tons of headache for Astana
from SamsonKangert told to Estonian media that in the last 80 km's he was really struggling with the cold and cause of that the race was much harder than he excpeted.
He also said that he couldn't get warmer clothes from the car cause the team got some kind of penalty stage ago so the team car was last in the line?
from SafeBetYeah Nibbles told the same thing to RAI today.
Astana got a penalty in Pescara stage after Nibbles crash (he didn't say why though) hence the team car was stuck behind all other cars.

Nibali 1st
Scarponi 2nd
Gesink/Hesjedal 3rd

Pelevin said:I'm wondering about placing a bet on Nibali for the Tour though it seems his long odds of 33/1 reflect the likelihood Nibali won't even race the Tour. What do people think are the chances of him entering it with a real & realistic view to winning?

SafeBet said:0,00001% chances of doing the Tour.
0,00000000001% chances of winning it.
WC is his goal for the second part of the season. Hence he'll go to the Vuelta.
If you were paying attention to the race from the beginning you would've dismissed Sir Wiggo as a contender by now. Yes, I do want to see competition - I'm a fan of Evans, Gesink and Henao too.Pentacycle said:You're really fanboying around here, preferring a more or less neutralized race from now on. Don't you want to see some great attacks by Wiggo, or another random GC contender? You know, something which any true cycling fan would appreciate.

He is. (out of contention that is)JimPanzen said:Now that's total bs. I'm not saying Wiggins is gonna crush it, but saying he is out of contention is pathetic.

Pentacycle said:Wiggins is still a contender, even if he doesn't deserve to win based on the past week. I too realize he hasn't shown any sign of improvement, but it's still last year's Tour winner we're talking about. Nibali realizes this as well.
This ˆˆˆwebbie146 said:Last stage wiggins got brought back by sky. They where climbing, all the favorites at the front. Wiggo just keeps hanging on the back. If he felt good he would just ride to the front, so he could react to potential attacks. He did not. That tells something about his form atm.
