He's got his stage win, and the overall is looking a sure thing barring a complete disaster in the next couple days. :) Hope he decides to attack and destroy everyone again tomorrow now that he's got such a big gap to everyone else.

I guess so.

Berto beat Nibali by 34" in 2011. That seemed like a huge gap to me. Now Nibali beats Samu by 1 ****ing minute?!?!?!?! I guess Nibali would've beaten 2009/2011 Alberto by 5 minutes in this form. Lolz.

The Nevegal TT was a lot shorter, against a little bit better competition imo.

Hoping he takes the next 2 stages as well :) Time to let it all hang out Nibs!

I've followed him for years and it is so nice to see him come into his own, it's been a steady progression over a period of years. He has reached a level of maturity and power that bodes well for continued success now that he is in his prime years.

More to come from Lo Squalo!!!

In order to win he must drop everyone, so I don't think so.

He's the best climber not doing the Tour.

If Valverde/Rodriguez/Quintana/Martin go hard in July their preparation will be less than ideal. Froome and Contador you never know but will always be outsiders.

Colombia will be the biggest threat.

Nibali probably still has to attack 1.5-2 laps out to avoid getting marked out on the final climbs. His acceleration seems to have improved though.
