He's the best climber not doing the Tour.

If Valverde/Rodriguez/Quintana/Martin go hard in July their preparation will be less than ideal. Froome and Contador you never know but will always be outsiders.

Colombia will be the biggest threat.

Nibali probably still has to attack 1.5-2 laps out to avoid getting marked out on the final climbs. His acceleration seems to have improved though.
I didn't say he won't make it, just that imo any other climber with better sprinting ability has a better chance than him

That said, it would be beyond regular epicness to see Nibali in rainbow fighting ftw at the Tour next year.

Valverde deserves the rainbow jersey more imo but I guess it would be epic for fans yes. Though curse of the rainbow jersey might strike. I certainly wouldn't want my favorite rider in the rainbow jersey. You never know.

Couldn't watch the stage but that's great by Nibbles ! Sealed the deal.

Whether he'll defend the pink jersey or go for the Tour next year will probably depend on the respective parcours.
The Hitch has already dampened my enthusiasm by reminding that there are 3 stages in GB next year and is most likely to be TT heavy.

Will Nibali still be your god favorite and cyclist if he leaves Astana?

Won't happen, but you can look at my posts about AC as the time has passed since he left the team of Gods ;)
Doesn't meatter though. Vino sees that he is the choosen one, and Nibali understands that he needs Vino. a combination only possible to be beaten by Ac and Vino. Vino leads to great things.

Not a Kazakh, but the first year I really followed the sport was in 03, and in PN when Kivilev died and Vino anniliated everyone in his memory sealed the deal for me. After that you can't disilike the most aggressive rider out there. + ofc the fact that he was not the best tter, not the best climber, not the best classic rider, but he still won a GT in an awesome way (watch Vuelta 06 if you have not already), the most magnificent tt in recent history (tour 07) LBL, agr multiple times, the freakin CHamps elysees and more 1 week stage races than I can count. And he won these races by gutsy attacking suddenly at any time everywhere.

And yes, cycling for me is like fotball/soccer is for others, I like some players but it is the team for me all the way baby  (because of Vino ofc)

today it's the first time i saw in nibali glimpses of a fuoriclasse
until today, a big champ but seems like he stepped up even more under the vino's guidance and maybe danilo was right in gazzetta, he can fight for le tour in 2014.

uber strong rider. gutsy it was already known

chapeau squalo!
