Is Number 2 the Stelvio Mortirolo San christina stage of the decade where Pantani cracked Indurain?

Strange though considering that was before the Pantani cult. He won the stage but people didn't know that when they tuned itn.

Tre Cime is not that bad though sad reading when comparing to 90's.

Wonder what Zoncolan 2010 or Sestrieres 2005 may have had.

Edit I see that was on Jensies list.

If you look closely you'll notice there are many stages of 94 there... it was just a great Giro.

None of Pirata's 1999 procession though. Or were they annulled with the results?
I have no idea. Though that Giro was being dominated (and didn't feature many mountain stages) so is hardly surprising it didn't generate so many views.

Otoh, the Pantani effect is clear with Courchevel, the only Tour stage that made to the Top 15. Strangely enough there is no Les Deux Alpes 98.

Maybe no one was expecting it?
Although after seeing Plateau de Beille you would just tune in, just in case.

excellent display from Nibali dominate and intelligent riding throughout and put his mark on the final week just to stop the wiggins or hesjedal could have taken him question.

Pantani won the stage before too (the one to Merano), 40" before a rather large group.

And a WC this tough comes once in a lifetime, if you're lucky.
He should try it, and nothing to lose already won TA, Trentino and Giro.

Agreed, believe this will be more in his thoughts than the Vuelta.

With regards to next year he'll have no concrete plans yet obviously and I think that the Tour / Giro decision is yet to be made.
