Nibali was awesome today! Climbed from 4 to 3 place today

i think podium is pretty secured, Evans don't have it that's it. Let's see if he can climb one more place to take enough time from alien F to secure second place. He need at least 1:45 before get into final time trail

I wish Liquigas had some fresh mountain domestiques for Nibali rather than using them all at the Giro and sending a clearly exhausted Basso and a useless Szmyd. Surely Sarmiento could be doing a better job than Szymd is doing right now, I'm sure Timmy Duggan would too.

Exactly. What a different race it could have been if Sky's main rivals for the overall, Liquigas, BMC & Lotto had focussed on hiring and selecting fresh and talented domestiques capable of climbing. Nibali's only assistance coming from Sagan says it all.

I can't be too hard on Liquigas though. If Nibali was racing for Garmin or RSNT they'd have pulled him from the TdF for refusing to sign a contract.

Still Liquigas tactics were a bit strange. If Nibali wanted to try on the final climb why not save Basso, Koren,.... to make a push on that climb instead of sending them all to breaks?

nibali was awesome today tho on a climb that suited wiggins and froome to perfection

His late attack broke Cadel but if he wants to put any time on Wiggins he's going to have to attack a lot earlier than he did today. I really don't think he has the legs for anything heroic like Schleck did last year sadly.

Wiggins respects Vincenzo now, he Knows he's a dangerman.....

It's good for Wiggins that Froome is on his team otherwise he'd be looking at second LOL. I think Froome is the strongest man in the race.

Anyone who struggled to understand my earlier points about what a brilliant gamesman Nibali is, should examine this quote after today's stage:

"He said that look wasn't for me," Nibali said. "That's the beauty of cycling right there, we can talk calmly and clear things up amongst ourselves. Wiggins has been a great rival. And he has great teammate in Froome."

Translated into literal English, that would be:

Szymd and Basso are getting old and already have the massive giro in the legs, did you see anyone with the giro performed in the tour? I think this tour will be a career turning point for lots of GC and non-GC guys.
