ilnostrograndeciclismo has publicized an article about a supposed positive by Nibali at the giro. Shame on them.

Nibbles: they should switch their brains on before talking, so they'd avoid producing farts.

LOL farts, exact the same word I used:eek:

I looked at the blog and could see no such article.

No source ...It was a guess, because he thought that if santambrogio was found positive, should also be Nibali.
I do not understand why ...

Yeah I think with some peoples suspicions over his performance at the Giro meant that Vayer making a cryptic comment followed by this blog combined with the fact than there were a couple of EPO failures and a new test being muted meant that when Nibali made his ambiguous tweet it lead to a bit of excitement.

As Hitch said earlier I think the moment has passed.

Being a huge Nibali fan, as do I. I would be loathe to see one of my favourite cyclists test positive, but if he has been doping (very likely, goes without saying), then it's best for cycling for him to get caught. :(

Additionally, it would provide the 'everything stopped in 2006' crew a bit of a slap in the face, to use a Liggetism, because this I presume would be the first instance since Landis of a GT winner getting caught and stripped of his title within a few weeks of the end of the event.

U forgot Contador 2010 Saga:)
I am afraid that if Nibali is caught then it would be very very bad for both cycling and Italian cyclists.

From the secret pro's column:

"The sad thing is that all of this business takes away from what Nibali did at this year’s Giro. In contrast to the Vini-Fantini clowns, Nibali is a pure gentleman. He’s quiet and keeps to himself in the peloton, and he’s an absolute class act.

Nibali is one rider who wouldn’t have been complaining about the atrocious weather that was such a big part of this year’s race. Not just because he won the Giro overall but because he’s one of the few riders in the peloton that actually enjoys riding in cold and crappy weather. When everyone else is wet and miserable Nibali comes into his own and he showed that at the Giro.

Getting back to Nibali, he’s a rider that’s always been good and certainly hasn’t come out of nowhere. I’m seeing a few tweets about rumours of Nibali testing positive after the Giro. I don’t know where that’s coming from because it surely isn’t the talk around my circles.

There was a photo I saw of Nibali celebrating with Vinokourov on the podium at the end of the Giro (see below) which reminded me of something I thought was worth sharing. Most people don’t realise that Vino is actually a fantastic guy, and once you know him, that’s hard to look past. It’s hard to believe he’s a cheat because he’s actually unbelievably generous and kind."

Nibali enjoys the cold weather so much he couldn't finish MilanSanRemo even after a stop half way to change clothes and get a hot cup of coffee!

He has said himself that he enjoys cold weather several times. Plus, there is always a bridge too far. I don't recall many other lightweight climbers finishing MSR either.

I have no problem with Vino being a nice, kind and charming person on top of a cheat. But if this secret pro guy isn't going to mention Nibali's links to Ferrari right after bringing up those rumours of a positive test... Pffff.
