Some signs are there:
1) Vingo attacking on a mole hill on Sunday: new, super-offensive version successfully implemented by VLAB.
2) Vingo takes a lot of time during the ITT: hyperspace helmet with a negative drag is a real weapon.
What will Teddy do now?

Isn't it normal to be disappointed when you have a subpar performance relative to your standards?

The tasty part is literally him being disappointed and pretty much showing it. It means it wasn't planned.

Pog basically needs to learn some Rogla style magnanimous post-stage smiles and laughs in his interviews along with "ah I don't care about the win eh".

I mean that X post literally says "according to Danish media he rode off not wanting any interviews".

That's like expecting to read a neutral appraisal of the Orc war on Gondor in the The Daily Mordor newspaper.

It's all just part of the mind games right now.

Except that orcs have souls and charm ;)

So not giving an interview is wrong but lying is okay
If Pogacar said that, he would be accused of lying.

If he had said today that he didn't mind losing, I don't think those statements would be applauded; rather, he'd be called a liar
Whatever he does, he's going to be criticized.
If he is criticized for attacking and winning...

Teddy inspecting Vingo's bike was hillarious :p
It almost resembles Bartali breaking into Coppi's hotel room.
This is rivalry for ages!

This is true but post 2023 Pogacar is a completely different cyclist. You shouldn't use his previous years as a reference because again he is in a different level.
Another proof that Pogacar has changed tremendously.
Sola worked hard on Pogacar weaknesses:
- Heat
- Sustained effort during climbing (he wasn't bad there, just probably not as good as Vingegaard)

Now he doesn't suffer from heat, which was killing his recovery, and he can sustain an insane pace for a much longer period of time which makes him the best climber in the world. He also doesn't even go out of the saddle to attack now, which was his trademark.

This is why the fact that Pogacar suffered in the past in some climbs doesn't really matter. He can lose only if Jonas finds another gear.

It was their first mountain duel since last Tour's alpine stages (almost 11 months ago). The result was the same.

One month until the high mountains in the Tour. If Pog holds this form, and there's nothing to suggest he won't, then Jonas has to find another level over the next four weeks.
