Vingegaard vs Pogačar - The Duel

Page 4 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
Vingegaard needs to be 100% (But Vingegaard wont be 100% now which is only natural after his crash.) and Pogacar 90% then its a very nice fight, if pogacar is 100% its not very close. But Pogacar most likely wont be 100% at the Tour duo the the Giro naturally.

Tell me one performance by Pogacar until today in Grand Tours since 2020, better than the best perfomances of Vingegaard in Grand Tours.

I'm just asking one.

You and me been over this. As a neutral guy If Vingegaard ever manage to beat him without an asterisk too it then lets talk then its awesome it really is! But untill that happen just do it with someone else man hehe its not harder than that it really isnt. I find it very childish if I can be honest.

Lets not have a meaningless pissing contest about something neither you and me are involved in, based on fictual facts you always refer too if you want to have this kind of half glass empty view and wishfull thinking and it somewhat makes your life better have it with someone else dude  its not exactly close if pogacar is 100% if he is not 100% its epic.

He was 100 % in 2022. Had a bad day after being attacked by both Rogla and Vingegaard on Galibier, but was strong the next day.

He got his ass handed to him on Hautacam again and in the final ITT. Just not good enough.

You didn't answer me. I hope you can answer to my question.

This is not about asterics or not. Tell me one performance by Pogacar at 100% in Grand Tours, better than the best perfomances of Vingegaard in Grand Tours.

You can't say Pogacar is a better GT rider than Vingegaard and cannot be able to tell one performance of Pogacar better than one performance of Vingegaard in Grand Tours.

We can start for Time Trials for example. The Time trial of Vingegaard last year is probably the best Time Trial of this century, and way better than the Time Trial of Pogacar in La planche des belles filles.

We can also start to discuss the perfomances in the mountains, and see when Pogacar could push better numbers than Vingegaard, or who sustains better the fatigue KJ/h and still push higher numbers.

I just asked for one better perfomance by Pogacar in Grand Tours compared to the perfomances of Vingegaard, because you said Vingegaard is not even close to Pogacar in Grand Tours when they are at 100%. Then, show me the evidence in terms of better perfomances in Grand Tours on they're careers.

Its not exactly a dicussion at all outside a few danes, look I get it I really do. Just leave me out of it haha jesus:tearsofjoy:
It‘s not really a discussion in terms of peak level with Vingegaard being much better, though, no way does Pogačar ever do a performance like the Combloux ITT, but that was (hopefully) a one-off, so Pogačar won‘t have to reach that level anyway. By the way, you seem to be under the impression that there is some kind of asterisk to the 2022 Tour, and I would be really interested in hearing more about this.

Vingegaard performance in Combloux is not something Pogacar shown he could do. In fact that day he crushed the opposition (minus Vingegaard) which was already something huge.
IIRC Tourmalet was Vingegaard best performance in 2023 in a climb, yet he did not drop Pog.
Vingegaard seems more reliable and consistent. He's a better climber but I don't expect him to take more than a minute total on a 100% Pogacar.
With a TT let's say 2 min total.
A a very hilly tour with some tricky stages (cobbles), I can see Pogacar win, on what he's shown in the past. But odds are still on Vingegaard side, by a lot. (I'm talking hypothetical 100% no injury on both sides)
I've yet to see final form GT Pogacar. Hope that was not 2023 or he won't beat a 100% Vingegaard unless they add PR and RVV as stages.
