Vino's business interests

I know there's been some speculation as to what Vino is going to do next year - whether he would race all the GT's, or a less rigorous season, or retire altogether. Well, I guess not even he's sure of exactly what his future holds, after the failure of a test-business venture he engaged in this summer. Apparently, Vino set-up a toilet paper manufacturing facility in his native country, making "Vino Toilet Paper." But there was a problem: it wouldn't take **** from anyone...

I hate to rain on the 'happy parade' but does it concern anyone in the least we are celebrating a 'convicted' blood doper?

Ha ha....very funny:D

Anyone else notice his face when he has just launched off the front for the tenth time that day?....I swear if you watched it in isolation you would think he was chasing someone who had just run over his dog.

I love watching him. Endlessly entertaining.

The rumours of Vino retiring from sport and becoming DS have been completely rendered false today.

As it happenned it was just a ruse and all this time Vino has actually secretly preparing to kickstart a completely new team:

Alberto didn't wanted to feel left out and tagged along with the cool guys to watch all those cool cars.

Terrific - I love it!!

Vino is my religion. When he retires - who will there be left to worship?

R U SERIOUS??? Time to recalibrate... Has he won a GT? Nyet. And Superman - NOT. He's good, da, but only a GT winner wannabe. He does have panache, I'll give him that. But I'm still gonna save my love for something more worthwhile.

we like Vino along with the main course. Especially when the meals are so lean that you think they want the spectators on a diet. AC and Alex was Pane and Vino.. now let's see how they do both next year

Vino won the Vuelta in '06.

But regardless of winning/not winning - the guy has charisma. On the bike or off - it's unmistakable. You can look at 100s of photos of him off the bike and he's smiling in every single one. And on the bike - he's fun to watch.

And OFF the bike he's fun to listen to - or read about. Just imagine him in Russian/Qazaq-accented French explaining how the team was going to assasinate the Tour de France, and how he took great pleasure in clawing his way back to the leaders for one last turn at the head of the bunch after Armstrong had been dropped. lol.

I've never been a huge Vino fan, but I have to say, it makes every race that he enters more interesting. For that I have gratitude. He doped, he did his time, and I'm glad he has gotten his legs back and is racing angry. It makes the sport better.

Dude, thanks for being fair in your comments on VINO. Were all fans of the sport as level-headed as that, then there would be fewer fake apologies...

VINO is in my life again - or perhaps better stated I'm in his - and I think the outcome will be happy but I'll be treading lightly for the next few days to ensure that I do or say nothing that is objectionable to the Golden Eagle himself.

Cheers, and HAIL VINO!

I need to say that Vino has done a lot for my riding. Although most often I ride by myself, it is Vino that made me ensure that as soon as I see another rider (or a slower moving car, motorcycle or scooter) on the road, I start to attack and keep on attacking untill I overtake and lose the other rider.

And for that I thank him

:p

Proof that Vino does not eat little kids

Despite having a rightly-deserved reputation as a ferocious competitor and a devourer of both kilometers and rivals, VINO does not eat little children - that was a vicious rumor started by Taylor Phinney ;)

Photographic proof of this revelation is available here.

In another startling development, it's been confirmed that there is at least one phenomena in the world that can cause a smile to form on the face of VINO:
