my wet dream

Vino attacks everyone said:
It has been said that Jesus (Hernandez ofc ;)) was not gods son. He was merely a badass prophet. I do not think I am alone when I say the probability for Vino being the one is pretty big.

Vino, I worship thee!

I'm desperately hoping for Vino to win a stage that sees Saint David Millar swept up 500m from the line, with Vino launching out of the peloton to hold off all the sprinters and score an heroic victory!

not an extraoridinary ride but just like he said the form is coming...

66th, just 19 sec on wiggo is not bad at all

not impressed with this dedicated coverage of Vino from cyclingnews.com:

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/vinokourov-denied-at-final-tour-de-france

"That race, of course, was to end in disgrace for Vinokourov, as he tested positive for an homologus blood transfusion that will forever overshadow his achievements..."

"With André Greipel still in the group and marshalled by four of his Lotto Belisol teammates, however, the cards were stacked against Vinokourov and Albasini's late raid. In a past existence, the Kazakh might well have defied such odds, but instead all he could do was rage against the dying of the light. With a shade over two kilometres to race, as the race reached Le Cap d'Agde, Vinokourov and Albasini's resistance was quenched..."

"A weary Vinokourov allowed the chasers to engulf him and then eject him out the back of the group, and he rolled in to the finish alone, 46 seconds down on the stage winner Greipel. After pausing briefly beyond the line to give a gruffly optimistic account of his efforts to a French television crew – "It's a good sign, I'm coming back," he said flatly – Vinokourov pedalled off towards his team bus alone."

Seriously? I know Vino is a mythical character but this piece was over the top in its efforts to convey I-don't-know-what...

the piece conveyed that the writer was an arrogant tw*t that cares about nothing other than the sound of his own voice... trying to be clever but without any real passion for cycling.

not saying you have to love Vino like we do, but you sure don't diss him like that... that's just ignorance and arrogance.

ARGH!!!

Did anyone else notice Vino today JUST MISSED THE WINNING BREAK?! It went RIGHT AFTER the break he was with had been caught and he was RIGHT THERE when Vandevelde & Co. rolled away off of Millar's last surge. But you could see that Vino was fckin' gassed, as he drifted back on the left side of the road (right side of the TV screen ;) not even pedaling and w/ his face showing the famous "Vino Lock-Jaw Grimace."

Yea :(
I was screaming on the screen "COme on Vino, Voeckler is going! Follow him!!!!"

I was thinking that Weds stage would be an ideal stage for Vino, since its similar to the stage he had originally won in 2007 (later DSQ), taking on the Peyresourde as a final climb followed by a downhill descent into the finish town (in 2007 the stage finish was in Loudenville). Also for some reason i remember a stage in 00 or 01 where he finish 3rd from a breakaway was somewhat similiar also i believe.

To be honest considering how Vino has looked in the mountains so far, and the quality of the climbers that might go in that break, he's better off targeting one of the flatter stages.

Bravo, Vino!

Bravo, Vino! You remain a fighter, courageous and determined 'til the very end! It was shame you were caught doping and regrettable that talk of a deal for L-B-L leaked out, but this is not reason to question your class as an athlete. Your aggressive style is one that only Voeckler seems to share, and cycling will be infinitely poorer for your retirement. We know you won't, but it's fun to say anyway - don't spare a single thought for those hypocritical idiot commentators and journalists who constantly insult you whilst heaping praise upon English-speaking ex-dopers like Millar.

Bravo, Vino...Bravo!
