.like the recent Astana roster for the upcoming Vuelta:

Just got this, Vino is first reserve for Astana at the Vuelta:

BAZAYEV Assan (KAZ)
HERNANDEZ BLAZQUEZ Jesus (ESP)
HORNER Christopher (USA)
IGLINSKY Maxim (KAZ)
KLÖDEN Andreas (GER)
NAVARRO GARCIA Daniel (ESP)
RUBIERA VIGIL José Luis (ESP)
VAITKUS Tomas (LTU)
ZUBELDIA AGIRRE Haimar (ESP)

R1 VINOKOUROV Alexander (KAZ)
R2 BRAJKOVIC Janez (SLO)
R3 DYACHENKO Alexsandr (KAZ)

Who wants to take bets that Vino moves up from first reserve to a Vuelta start?

I think the Vuelta would be a good exercise for Vino. If he's on the reserve, probably he had reached some agreement with the team. He's a fighter and very entertaining and unpredictable (very memorable champs-elysees win 06). However, it is unforgivable for his reckless doping, it really showed his arrogance. However, like many things, you get another chance.

vino

Vino/Epic rider, as interesting and aggressive as Anquentiel, I like seeing him battle it out. I miss guys like Merckx/Ocana. If he is unrepentent so what!

Top fueler he is but who isn't or once was who was at top cycling sport.

Boy is ballsy good on him.

Agreed! I have gone out of my way, and I mean REALLY out of my way to try and hate Vino - with the unrepentant doping, selfish tactics and stupid dramas - but the guy is just SO DAMN ENTERTAINING! He is someone who can make just about any race interesting. I hope he rides the Vuelta and splits it to pieces (as long as he doesn't win!)

Kloden has broken his wrist, at the ENECO Tour and is more or less certainly out of the Vuelta team.
If we are to believe the given team roster, Vino is now riding in Spain.
The RTBF commentator's said as much, during today's ENECO stage.

Then again......

Astana says probably not broken, but he will have it checked at hospital.

IMHO Vino is an incredibly exciting rider to watch with a lot of grit and determination. I'm looking forward to seeing him back racing in Astana and in the Vuelta!
That said, I don't want Kloden out with a broken wrist! Hope he's ok.

Congratulations to Vino for the ITT win at the Asian Championships and the 2nd in the road race.

I hope vinokourov makes it to the vuelta, although i doubt he´ll finish it, I think he is going to be bad in the mountains, but I think he could maybe win one of the time trials.

Courses are completely different and the wind has an enormous effect. You can't make any comparison. At all.

Whoever tweets the best.

That's only if Lance is racing. For the Vuelta, the sponsors will have their say.

Horner may be a 'leader,' but he's about as much threat to the the GC as George H was a Tour GC threat after Lance retired (the 1st time).

Vino won't have the legs to win, I think Astana would be better served by stage hunting. YMMV.
