Carrara is far out the strongest. Probably Dyachenko 2 and Kruijswijk 3 then.

LOL

It's Brajkovic, not Dyachenko. Initial reports were mistaken about identity of Astana rider.

So Levi's team rode hard yesterday for nothing. Someone from today's break will take GC with a massive time gap. I guess Karma ain't a fan of the garden gnome either. :D
9 minutes aren't unsurmountable on 2 HC climbs.

Carrara the strongest indeed. Brajkovic doesn't like the cold, neither does Kruijswijk. Sorensen? No idea.

Well, they do have snow plows. The pictures from today's race are going to be incredible though. Those poor riders. I hope CN puts up a huge album since we don't get video of this.

this race showed this week why they are on the verge of extinction and they deserve so. not the uci to blame like everyone did here. this is the 21st century. no lousy excuses for having images like that.
In all fairness, there's no way you can blame the race for the awful coverage.

Because of the economic crisis, they had no option but to give away the TV rights to the only broadcaster that would take them. The broadcaster has very little experience in cycling and THEY are the only ones to blame for the ****-poor coverage.

Given the scale of economic problems in Spain, the race organisers did a fantastic job ensuring the race didn't get cancelled, and to say they deserve to go extinct just because they had bad luck with the broadcaster is... well, ignorant to say the least.

I read somewhere that UCI was involved in this - that UCI gave the race 200K euros in exchange for broadcast rights. Did UCI choose the broadcaster, or did the race?

At any rate, if only one broadcaster wants to pay to show it, I guess the organizers are stuck having to go with whoever they can get.

The crisis in Spain and Italy is of a whole different scale to the rest of Europe. Spain has an unemployment rate of 23%...

How long do they have left to ride?

This has been an interesting race to follow. Its a shame we can't see it unravel, but at least we get to see how the mountain goats shape up on a big climb for the first time this season.

80 km

Wiggins, Porte, Appollonio abandon apparently.

Wiggins, Porte y Apollonio (SKY) se retiran de la #VoltaCatalunya, normal. Parece casi inhumano la cosa...

No idea if true.
