In all fairness, there's no way you can blame the race for the awful coverage.Ryo Hazuki said:this race showed this week why they are on the verge of extinction and they deserve so. not the uci to blame like everyone did here. this is the 21st century. no lousy excuses for having images like that.

Because of the economic crisis, they had no option but to give away the TV rights to the only broadcaster that would take them. The broadcaster has very little experience in cycling and THEY are the only ones to blame for the ****-poor coverage.
Given the scale of economic problems in Spain, the race organisers did a fantastic job ensuring the race didn't get cancelled, and to say they deserve to go extinct just because they had bad luck with the broadcaster is... well, ignorant to say the least.

This has been an interesting race to follow. Its a shame we can't see it unravel, but at least we get to see how the mountain goats shape up on a big climb for the first time this season.
What he said.Euskaltel! said:The crisis in Spain and Italy is of a whole different scale to the rest of Europe. Spain has an unemployment rate of 23%...
