Kruijswijk looked suprised and even put his hand up after the finish. Like 'wtf?'

Video of the finish!

Hey, QS nearly won another race.

Also didn't look like much of a sprint. "A rider first across a line during the stage is the winner. We're not telling where that line is. Now go." :p

The peloton had given up

11 minutes behind a 12 man break BEFORE the race was shortened

It will be laughable if they void the stage and if I was AG2r I'd be talking to my lawyers

Yep, looked like an actual(ish) sprint. Wouldn't be surprised if one or two of them didn't get the memo, but Jani at least did.

looked like someone told them only marginally before. No way they all arrive together like that if they had been given more than a few hundred metres notice.

Kruijswijk clearly didn't. He looks genuinely surprised. And he yells something like "Que pasa?"

You're remarkably good at reading glimpses of facial expressions in a ****ty video. :p

(Yeah, the arm. You're most likely right. It'll be interesting to read what those guys have to say)

Robert Gesink just tweeted that the peloton found out the finish was at the top when they were at the bottom of the climb.

Oops... :p

So Kruijswijk should've known it too.

but after or before the top of the climb?

edit: actually, "after" should be funny

They only knew the finish was somewhere at the climb, in thick fog.

The finish wasn't at the top. It was about half way up the Port Del Canto. Sorry, confused.

According to biciciclismo the stage won't count for GC.

Finalmente, los tiempos de la etapa de hoy no se tendrán en cuenta por lo que Michael Albasini (GreenEDGE) continuará mañana líder de la carrera.

Another big win gifted to GreenEdge. Actually 3 out of 3 big wins they've had this year were gifts :D:p

What was the point of the break doing 155km and then telling them their effort is worthless and won't count in GC???
This race is officially a joke, wouldn't be surprised if its wiped from the calendar with the organisational skills they showed today...
