Well, good job by Quintana! Poor job by Gesink, and I really wanted Rujano to do well.

If Wiggins would've taken it like that, it would have been ridicouless. But it seems a 23 year old boy from Colombia is still outclimbing the first British TDF winner, just like last Dauphine, when he outclimbed the entire Sky train at age 22 ;)

If the settled GC leaders can't beat the Sky train, surely the new ones, like Quintana and Pinot will show them. :p

Quintana above the, pretty much, equal rest.
Wiggins can be satisfied, although he miscalculated the attack. Brailsford will do the maths for him.

LOL... i just have a picture in my head of brailsford scrambling calculating the number. Lots of paper full with chart flying everywhere... weight/power ratio, watts, distance, speed, gradient, weight of wiggin's pants, how much wiggin eat prior to the climb.. etc. etc.. :D .. ugh.. where the hell is this kid coming from???.. it shouldn't be happening...how could it be, how could it be???? Our calculation is dead on!!.. LOL.. LOL.. :D

it was pretty pathetic to be honest. if you attack in the last km then at least do it like richie/froomey...
my god what a boring ascent this one was

Don't you read what brailsford said? "if you want a clean cycling you'll see a different style. If you want to see a rider attacking each other then go back to the old cycling. You can't have both." I guess this is what a clean cycling look like. Wait until 1km from the top, accelerated once and hope for the best :D

I'm all for clean cycling, just not the "sky way"

Not sure why Sky bothered sending Wiggins to a stage race with no TT. No chance he can win this.

Maybe because of two high mountains stages. You think that after winning Tour last year he will be affected by not winning this race? Not the TT he needs to exercise.

Maybe for that exact reason. They want him to go out of his normal comfort zone (where he just limits his loss and then crush ppl in the TT). And he did quite well trying to attack. Was really nice to see for a change

He has to race somewhere to build for the Giro. And it's perfect to test the climbing legs.

It can result in new style of climbing... Deadly rhythm changes.
Go, Wiggo, go now!... No, no...! Wait!... Now go! ... Hold! ... ...
He could become very popular on this board in that case.

I doubt it. Quintana looked in amazing shape.

Probably you are right. I just meant Froome could have attacked earlier than 1k to go because the pace wasn't high during today's ascent.
