yes, stage shortened:

"The Volta a Catalunya has altered the route of its 4th stage, which will finish in Camprodon

Due to the activation of a Level 3 VENCAT warning, with wind gusts of up to 90 km/h forecast at the summit of Vallter, the Volta a Catalunya has been forced to shorten the route of its 4th stage, scheduled for Thursday 26 March.

The stage, starting from Mataró, will finish in the town of Camprodon, shortening the final climb to the resort. With this change, the stage start time is delayed by half an hour to 13:05, with the team presentation in Mataró taking place between 11:55 and 12:55."

From the stage comuniqué, which also officially confirms Evenepoel's classification at s.t., by the way.

Pathetic.

Can simply finish lower on the climb rather than not at all. There's a big parking lot at like 1950m.

this should be the new finish (on from the intermediate sprint), based on that communique. They went for another road further down in town, but didn't add any major difficulties. The weather in Camprodon looks nice and sunny as well, although a bit chilly (7°C).

Clever attack by remco today anticipating the cancellation tomorrow. It's a shame Jonas is not intelligent like remco

Pathetic decision to castrate tomorrow stage. Not the first time that this happens in Catalunya either, at least we have Itzulia lin a few weeks which should be a banger.

Remco never learns, he is now on his 8th pro season and keeps making the same rookie mistakes. Racing easy stages like this as it was a one day race its not a wise move. He needs a good sports psychologist to help him control his emotions during races.

Good win for Godon, he keeps delivering for Ineos. He was lucky that Vingegaard sit up at the end though.

I liked the year when the breakaway won because they just decided to finish the stage at some random point in the middle of nowhere, to be honest :D

This is another textbook example of why Pogacar is consistently beating up on Vingegaard, if today was the final stage, not pulling would have been prudent, nothing genius .
Good tactics half wheeling Remco and crashing him was genius alright..
As racing goes, if you are in front it's your responsibility to know what is to the left and the right of you, Remco took his knocks like a warrior.
Once again attrubiting random *** to Pogacars imaginary moral superiority.

My farts smelled particularly good today, praise be to Pogacar

He didn’t make it to the roundabout.
I heard them voices over the internet saying Vingegaard indeed following Evenepoel, close, filming Remco with his phone camera. For his daily socials feed that is. Maybe even too close. Not giving Remco his private room to perform precisely. This causing Remco to loose the grip so to speak. He very sorry and angry forJonas who stopped to ask Remco, if he's ok?

Decathlon have made some decent signings but I've still no idea why Dean Gordon was let go, maybe he was asking for too much or they needed GC resources but 6 wins and the French championship is surely worth paying for? 3.5 WT wins already this year with seemingly another big chance tomorrow.

is the GC going to be up for grabs as well, or can we expect any mountain stages to take place?

Someone on Twitter went to explore the scene of today's crash, by the way, and was unable to locate any potholes. There was a small crack though.

Sounds like a level of role play I am unfamiliar with..
You also have the role of constant contrarian in other threads, with wisdom like sky really not blue, just a different dig for the sake of getting one in.. Many use the thing about Pogacar living rent free in many people's heads..apparently he is occupying a different part of your person! LOL. When Del Toro made similar moves this season, most thought going after intermediate sprints, contesting actual sprint finishes. Pellizzarri also getting praise for sprinting despite his climbing reputation. Both guys doing something slightly different for a marginal gain. Remco going off the front, racing to his strengths and always aware that almost first @30 positions separated by @11 seconds so trying for seconds seems like good tactics..
Deep in their heads..this guy claims..
