Pogacar
Can he though? Vinge will ride into form by riding the Giro as well.

Vingo has never done Giro-Tour before, so it might make him super or tired. Can he though? Vinge will ride into form by riding the Giro as well.
Tour - Vuelta - Giro - TourVingo has never done Giro-Tour before, so it might make him super or tired.
He did do TDF + Vuelta, and his numbers were better in Vuelta.Vingo has never done Giro-Tour before, so it might make him super or tired.
IDT, Ayuso, Seixas, correct me if I forget someone ?Is the Tour already over? Who can even beat Vingegaard in this form?
Or it might make him nothing......Vingo has never done Giro-Tour before, so it might make him super or tired.
Thom wasn't terrific today, Amnesia sub par, Soler burned himself, Carapaz couldn't, Martinez rolled along.. Ciccone good showing.. No 100k winds. Landa looks like he has been nibbling pizza pretty frequently..Pidcock seems to be DNF?
Probably makes Montjuic very winnable for Evenepoel
Cold headwinds definitely do not inspire solo climbing efforts. Even with a moto sitting in front of you. Can't say anything about level, only that conditions were atrocious for fast climbing times.
And now it's showing 6.2 W/kg, which is like a painfully 2022 time.
The gaps are very similar to the very similar stage to Porte Aine that Pogacar won in 2024, and arguably against stronger opposition.Solid victory for Vingegaard today. The pace in the first half of the climb was very slow, so the total w/kg today are not that impressive. But not everything has to be looked through a w/kg lens. He already won Paris Nice and is well on his way to win the next one week race.
This would be a great spring and if you see the level of the competition, it is hard to see a future where he does not win the Giro. (I watched E3 afterwards and Pidcock seems to have vanished from the face of the earth??)
Jonas Vingegaard | 81 (+4): 6.13 W/kg for 38:25 on Coll de Pall (Catalunya 2026 Stage 5)

Gaps are smaller than Valmenier 1800 last year, but that stage had completely cuckoo gaps.
That's why I discarded it completely.Pogacar had a gap of 1'23'' on Vallter2000 but the weather was cold there.
As I posted in another thread, Vingegaard seems to have a similar level to Pogacar in Catalunya 2024 (and himself in Tirreno 2024).The gaps are very similar to the very similar stage to Porte Aine that Pogacar won in 2024, and arguably against stronger opposition.

If I just analyzed his attack, the Index might even be a bit higher. But Pogacar in Catalunya 2024 was not yet close to the Pogacar from the 2024 Tour onwards.
(Aine was Pogacar's worst performance that race (79), tomorrow we have the same stage as in 24 so the comparison will be easier.)
Pidcock fell down into a big ravine, lucky to be ok, finished the stage.
Trying for a shortcut down.60kph crashthe picture isnt of the crash that Tom was sharing, thats just the corner he went straight on at as obviously if the camera bike was there theyd have known what happened
