Dan looks like a Masters racer. :) Good win Dan.

Ah thanks for the answers. I was watching it on a blurry youtube video of the Spanish broadcast. There only seems to be one motorbike camera along with the helicopter and it was at pretty much no point focused on the front of the peloton. I couldn't even see who was leading the chase of Herrada properly until very near the end.

I was curious about who it was because there's almost nothing I can empathise with in cycling more than thinking for about ten seconds that you feel great and then realising that, no, in fact everything sucks.

This interesting piece also provides a bit of explanation for the slightly limited tv coverage - money. It's a lot better than San Luis, but it's a bit frustrating when there's obviously only one camera bike. The list of "big names" at the end makes me suspect that teams like Etixx have been give a few extra quid to put riders like Boonen and Martin in the race. I've no objection to that sort of thing as long as the "names" actually race hard.

I already knew who won, but whoever was responsible for scheduling a ten second news report about Dan Martin winning the stage immediately before the replay of the stage on Eurosport should be be beaten with a rubber hose.

I think they just like to come because it's cheaper traveling and less jetlag/weather change than Dubai

For a brief second there I was wondering why I couldn't understand a word of what Dan Martin was saying. :p

Oh, and ten second report, basically "Dan Martin won the state."?
That's not a report, that's a headline!

I tuned in at exactly the right time, 2 km to go! Nice to see Tomeke up there having a tiny bit of a go. Kudos to Groenewegen.

Looked like boonen was pretty good but he seemed apprehensive after his injury
It is probably for the best that he sat up, I agree. Nonetheless good to see he has the strength to win

Good scalp for a promising young man.
Indeed, especially considering his ugly crash in his last race last season, caused by reckless sprinting by Debusschere.

Well that's just great for Lotto-Jumbo. Could as well been another year where they would be fighting for a win until atleast May.
