I like Bling for today's stage - Reckon, Grondahl-Janssen can lead him out for the sprint.
what do you like about him? I mean, there's not much competition of course, but most of the time he is not competitive in flat sprints.

looks like there's a headwind in the end, which doesn't really suit Milan's style of starting the sprint early. But yeah, I'd also think he is the favorite today.

Milan has shown that he is an inconsistent sprinter and can have trouble with positioning. Also remember the flat sprint in The Giro when Bling got caught on the line after a good lead out from Hepburn.

He probably likes that he's Australian.

I see no chance Milan doesn't win this stage if he doesn't puncture again.

I like riders on their merits - Milan is the favorite but of course favorites dont always win. Bling is a chance.

True, but that is basically Matthews' only really good flat sprint in many, many years. And it probably came due to good circumstances where Jayco almost managed to ride away from the rest of the bunch in the final late corner.

The Valenciana curse strikes again for Dunbar. Involved in a crash in stage two and seemed ok at the time, but now out of the race. At least he lasted one stage longer in 2024.

Was looking at the list of sprinters, is there anyone that would be able to beat Milan?

EDIT: Forgot about Matthews

Marit and Aular are in the race as well.

The breakaway isn't completely out of it yet, though. Still 35s ahead with 8k to go. And the peloton looks slow

Well, the rest might as well not have tried to sprint, because Milan is so much stronger than the rest of the field he makes them look like they're softpedalling. Not convinced Consonni is the right leadout for him though, he eats so much wind behind him.

That crash was extremely obvious in a corner like that, hope nobody got hurt too badly but it didn't look great.

Good day for Lidl-Trek - chapeau Milan (Trek seemed to have damped down the nodding donkey), easy peasy after that ridiculous right hander where guys went down.
