Poor Wippert, clearly chose the wrong races to shine. There's nothing you can do against a good Kittel (or Greipel)

Well, murito for tomorrow, I think that GT has that one in the bag, but 2-5 will be interesting. I'll keep my fingers crossed for my fellow Franc-Comtois. Not his kind of climb, way too short, but who knows...

What's so impressive is that he went fairly early and basically led Wippert out and was able to just ride him off the wheel to create that gap.

He is becoming a good second tier sprinter, he will win races this season and I could see him winning a stage in a race like the Vuelta

He himself said that Sabatini did an incredible job of leading him out from about 1.5 km to go and launched him with 200 to go. How is 200 meters "fairly early"?

Watch the video.

I did. And the pictures of the sprint start with about 100 to go. So there is no footage of him starting his sprit fairly early or coming of Wipperts wheel.

If Thomas is isolated then he's in trouble here. Attacks should be coming from the likes of Gallopin etc.

Actually he is also good im chasing attacks. And mind you, he has a special goal this season: to win Champs-Elysee sprint. He wanted to do so last year already, Brailsfraud thought it would be too obvious. Then he disappeared from GC, but Brailsfraud still thought it would be too obvious. Afterall they agreed on 2016 ;-)
