Kwiatkowski looking good. Not quite as good at this time of the year as last judging by his tt, which I believe is a good thing. Hoping he can win some races in his rainbow Jersey, LBL would be glorious.

Well, last year he had 4 wins in February and paid for it later in the season. In July to be exact. And I would rather like to see him winning in the WT than now. His versatility is his biggest asset and also his weakness, cause he has to chose for which races he wants to be in topform. Back in the day when everyone rode every race he would have been awesome I think. Now there are specialists for every race and that makes it harder for guys like Kwiatkowski, Sagan, etc.

Well, that is exactly my point. I think having a suiter start to the season is really good for him, so he can peak for the important races (the Ardennes, I assume) and have something left in the tank for the second part of the season.

Yup, it's sensible considering the Ardennes needs to be his first big peak of the season. He should be incredibly strong for LBL.

I took a wrong turn off of an unmarked track
I did seven miles I couldn't find my way back
Hit a lonely stretch, must be losing my touch,
I was out of my depth

Sorry for the huge Off Topic -
but seems fitting to how it must have felt.

Porte said in his post stage interview https://soundcloud.com/fpciclismo/richie-porte-after-winning-4rd-stage-volta-ao-algarve-2015 that he pulled for 10km chasing Stybar before the last climb in addition to pulling Martin back the first time they went over Malhao with 40km left. That's crazy. He also said he took a wrong turn in the time trial yesterday.

Yep, on the surface a brilliant jersey defense by Sky considering the Hotstepper's assault. Add Porte's win, well thats full score.

The GC top reveals good quality imo. A mix of classic and stage racers. Just how it should be and indicative of a well designed parcours:

1 Geraint Thomas (GBr) Team Sky 15:30:33
2 Michal Kwiatkowski (Pol) Etixx - Quick Step 0:00:27
3 Tiago Machado (Por) Team Katusha 0:01:11
4 Richie Porte (Aus) Team Sky 0:01:14
5 Luis Leon Sanchez Gil (Esp) Astana Pro Team 0:01:18
6 Rein Taaram?e (Est) Astana Pro Team 0:01:19
7 Sergei Chernetckii (Rus) Team Katusha 0:01:32
8 Alberto Losada Alguacil (Esp) Team Katusha 0:01:55
9 Ruben Fernandez (Esp) Movistar Team 0:02:04
10 Ion Izagirre Insausti (Esp) Movistar Team 0:02:21
11 Zdenek Stybar (Cze) Etixx - Quick Step 0:02:43
12 Michael Woods (Can) Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies 0:03:03
13 Michele Scarponi (Ita) Astana Pro Team 0:03:06
14 Davide Formolo (Ita) Team Cannondale - Garmin 0:03:37

Last stage on the program:

An impossible task when it comes to attacking the leader? Looks like it, but I don't think Etixx will give up beforehand.

Debusschere FTW perhaps, or will he only peak for the BeNeLux races?

nice one g, hopefully he will get paris-nice this year. such a disappointment that he crashed out last year being so close. the guy is one of biggest engines in the peloton. we'll see on chaubouret

It will be the same duell. Panzerwagen and Kwiato are also pencilled in for Paris-Nice. Who will get it this time? Etixx or Sky? I'm excited. :)

Styby for Czech media - after the longest stage (215km) in Algarve I added additional training so that day I rode 270km (7.25 hours).
