It was a complete mess. He was constantly looking behind for Hayter, but he was always 10-20m in front and never really helped him.

I think his riding as a helper is what cost them the victory today for the overall.

Not taking yesterdays crash into account for Hayter.

Never saw W52 look that strong in a race which has actual WT teams in it lol

Genuinely bizarre take. Not going further than this race (like Asturias), they looked about as strong as in past editions of Algarve.

They only won because the field was exceedingly weak and on top of that Hayter and Costa had nasty falls (and puzzling tactical decisions like Asgreen setting the pace on Foia and Sky today).

I mean, how on earth is this stronger or more impressive than Amaro Antunes finishing 5th behind Roglic, Kwiatkowski, LLS and Gallopin while ahead of Dan Martin, Bilbao, Spilak and Tiesj Benoot? Can you elaborate?

Hayter threw away the victory with his ill-judged efforts in the ITT - Why you would take any risks when you were already up by25 seconds less than halfway through the ITT.

Pretty funny watching Morkov and Bennett pulling the GC group hard late on in a climbers stage. I’m not entirely clear why Asgreen was pulling before they dropped back from the break though.

Amazing race for W52.
