Pretty big gaps for la Molina...
And very good performance by the two EFD guys Martinez and Carthy.

What a win for Valverde. He made it look too easy. It didn't even look like he put in a hard sprint either.

Tbh, he just sat in the wheels in the last 4km.

Ofcourse it's easy for him then. He was strong by himself, but Movistar was too strong for the competition anyway. Which makes it too easy for El Imbatido!

Great performance by Dani Martinez as well! What a day. :D
Haha well yes indeed. Wat a day. It was fun to watch. I think Egan Bernal maybe wins this race now.

Bernal to attack tomorrow?

Wouldn't shock me, however tomorrow is a descent finish.
He'll try and fail.

This race is over, and after the cancellation of the MTF there was a very small chance of having a race for the win

Yeah Bernal is younger, more inexperienced, and already stronger than Latour. I don't get the focus on the latter

Speaking of young French people.

Where was Gaudu?

Doesn't matter. If he really wants Valverde can win all the stages left without breaking a sweat.
Yeah, why not go all-in and win the rest of the stages? Stage 6 is so easy, it's gonna be quite a challenge for him to win it.

An old stage style where riders attack, rest, attack again, rest, etc, etc, etc - Far more exciting then the grinding Sky Train.

Wait they climbed La Molina from a different side today? I saw it before a few days ago said to myself 'a nice change to use theharder side' but then forgot it and today I just assumed they were gonna do the finish of last 3-4 years. But they used the harder one, which was a very nice change. So there were big gaps.

Exactly the same climb as last year.
Just checked last years profile and indeed you are right. I'm confused. So La Molina was climbed from the same side from 2014 till now including this year? I always thought that La Molina was a 5-6 km climb.

Bernal is ridiculous. The guy is 21! It sucks that he rides for sky though. If someone is so crazily talented at least give him a bad team to balance things out. ;)
If he gets as strong as he is currently looking the future of the Tour de France could get even more boring than it already is right now

He finished a little behind the Martinez - Hermans group

I care about some riders and I don’t care about others. Simple as that.
The same for all of us, I think :)

You can bet on him peaking early
