Kudos to Carapaz and Higuita for what will be the ride of the season. GC is far from over though given how tired everyone should be. Could see fireworks before the circuit tomorrow already.

Gotta say I underrated this stage big time. Rain and cold certainly played a part, as did the relative weakness of most teams in this race, but the profile was good enough.

It’s too bad for Higuita that Ide Schelling couldn’t start here due to the flu. Would have been a very handy domestique for tomorrow.

Anyway with Palzer, Zwiehoff and Hindley he still has a good team. And most of the time another team will be chasing as well for the third/fourth/fifth place as well if there are big gaps.

And Montjuïc just not that heavy.

Once again, the riders make the race.

Though once again a profile that has lots of medium mountains with no long valleys serves up a delight.

Best stage so far this season! I though it was going to be action but not like this. Amazing duo upfront, either one deserves the GC tomorrow. As for UAE tactics and team work, poor, very poor, all of them, team Director included should be fined! They have to get their heads straight for the rest of the season.

Seems like the GC gap is almost big enough to force major attacks attacks before the last lap tomorrow if people behind (3rd place and back) want the GC overturned.
