Has Remco been getting advice from Cancellara? This is all straight out of the Fabian playbook. Believe you're stronger than everyone else, demonstrate that you're stronger than everyone else, still get mad when no one wants to work with you.

But there were other strong riders who would work with Cancellara in a break cause he was respected in the peleton. I don't recall him ever getting "Remco mad" about it. Remco, on the other hand, demands respect and throws all his toys out the pram when he doesn't get it.

Yeah, he has done it so many times now it is just annoying to see. Seems like it is just his personality. No respect or grace towards other riders.

Everyone is human and sometimes it great to see riders showing emotions/passion/frustration. You cant keep doing it all the time when things doesnt go the way you like them to though. He is a great rider, but just not the most likeable guy imo.

Not just the phone, I've tried it on tablet and laptop. Same thing!
Thank you so much (on the computer now) I thought I was the only one with this problem. I've not known where to report it either!

Also I somehow envisioned you to be a Slovenian woman in your thirties or forties as I had mostly seen you writing about Rogla. (I think you were the one who had seen him in real life and said he was as beautiful irl as on TV?) It's so funny what pictures one gets in ones head when one has no background information on people. (Also when as me one is new on the forum all name's like a blurr.)

(I love hearing all the stories of how people got into watching cycling!)

People say Remco is immature. I don't agree. I think he won't grow out of it and it seems to fuel his cycling. I find it enjoyable to watch. (And I miss Lopez)

If he never stops being a hothead I hope he'll also end up narrating brilliant teeange comedies in the future!

(Let's see if anyone gets the teenage comedy reference!)

That isn't true, he got mad a few times in RVV. Same for Sagan. Its only later that Cancellera stopped caring because he couldn't do anything about but even then he always asked to take over with multiple arm gestures.
Also bit strange that this is a demand of respect, its a request to work and keep the break going. As mentioned before, you do this when you know the one in your wheel is just as strong as you. (not with people you just caught/were in a break/...)
But its a bit ironic when this (demanding respect as you named it) is used as a reason to make Remco look like an a*hole while using similar logic (demanding respect) to dish Wright for wanting to sprint.

The nose not being painful on the Egan Bernal supporter is funny.

I think there's a fair amount of people who are looking for reasons to sh*t on Evenepoel. Sure, he has a bit of a temper, but that's also what makes him race attacking and attractive. Yesterday, I think he was not disrepectful, he just wanted to race and wanted Roglic to race with him. He didn't curse, and afterwards, he said he understood Roglic. So I don't really see any problem. Cycling needs people like Evenepoel. Be happy he's part of today's pack of amazing racers.

Over a minute now. Think the bonuses are out of reach now unless Jumbo think it’s in their interests to go for it and build a buffer on flat sprints.

Mathematically, boni seconds shouldn't matter for Roglic at this point. He just needs to follow wheel and Remco will need to drop him to win. (being 1st and roglic not on the podium isn't enough with the current difference)

For Remco it could make a difference, since loosing an extra second doesn't change a thing, while gaining a second would change what he needs to accomplish. But realistically he has a better shot of dropping roglic compared to winning the intermediate sprint and the final sprint while not having Roglic on the podium. (and i'm not rating that chance as a high one)

edit: as i wrote it, i see soudal is riding at the front ;p
