Its honestly frightening they even considered it... and because of rain!? Pardon my french, but WHAT THE ***!?
Especially after the embarrassment that was stage 2 of last year's Vuelta, where the péloton fought back by refusing to race because the organiser screwed up on stage 1, so they cancelled racing in an area that was safe in order to move the finish to somewhere that was dangerous.

They could easily have just neutralised that one until they got to the closing circuit but instead we were left with crashes on the flat while racing was on, and then cyclotourists easing their way up dry roads.

Predictable outcome in the end with Pogačar winning a small sprint.

Williams and Steinhauser showing some good legs, the former might be an interesting outsider for the Ardennes.
