Its a shame that the mountains are out but its still better to stage than not.

Without Brennan I think Del Grosso has a good chance of taking the stage but I also expect Roglič and Ayuso to go for it.

Eekhhoff also not starting, I thought he would be good on this kind of finish. A very good Bittner can hold his own on this too tho.

Still better than the 2012 edition where 3rd-15th were tied on time (no bonus seconds) and decided on stage sum.

Any finish that suits Roglic also suits Ayuso in present form.

Though I still don't think they will beat the actual uphill sprinters, too easy.

I think the organisers have been very sensible here. Hard to judge from a distance what the actual conditions are, and I'm sure (most of) the riders can't judge it either.

I mean a lot of sources are saying it's absolutely insane on higher altitude, straight up dangerous, with trees cracking and stuff. So yeah, it simply wasn't possible to race, but I wonder if they should ride at all then.
