He has been the best climber in his 2 seconds. Anyway to be best climber is not always to be the best in all the mountains stages, you can pay in a mountain stage your lacks in other terrains.
He is the main rival for Froome, but Froome is still the favourite

Aru is doing just fine. He wants to win the tour and that's is objective. He will be a big danger come July. Froome definitely not in good form. But will always struggle against Bertie and Quintana who both are better climbers. Bertie seemed to do more of the chasing when TJ attacked and seems to have paid for it . But Bertie and Quintana both looking a level above Froome already. Porte cant last longer than a week so his performance has no impact for the tour. Sky look weak ,,,,,good

Yep, Froome performing poorly in this race is definitely a historic indicator that he's got no chance in July.

Froome seem to be a bit off pace atm, but give him a few races in his legs and he will be mutant this July. Aru is a GT ony rider, rarely does anything outside of his 3 week goals, and hasn't raced since early february. H will also be great in July.
I swear this forum is getting filled with more and more doomsdayers every year, be it AC never going to win anything again, or the mroe general ride X didn't perform great in race X therfore rider X is done for for the rest of hi career.

Except that results at Catalunya aren't very predictive for the Tour. Whatever you believed about the Tour before today, you should believe almost the same now.
