How difficult is stage 7's Circuit de Montjuic?

They did the same circuit in the last stage of Catalunya in the last few years.

I suppose I could phrase that better... What are the chances of an attack that would really change the GC?
No big time gaps, although if time bonuses are up for grabs, that could change the GC.

I think apart from 2012(?) there haven't been any GC changes after that stage.

Edit: 2013.

All these Froome v Contador fights are pointless

Quintana is stronger than last year when he would have won the Tour if there were one more MTF....He is the best climber now
It was only a matter of time before he started beatign the others and his time has come...He will win the Tour

Contador is not as strong as he used to be even though he tries hard
Froome will do his best in the fight with Quintana but without Porte his cushion will not be big enough for week three
urrrgh... roles the can be shifted a thousand times until july.

Very poor from sky, I expected better

Froome, Thomas, Poles, Nieve , etc

Maybe pick one leader instead of many and stick with the one ...the strongest one

That wasn't the issue though. Clearly none of them had the legs to finish higher up the standings. I think Thomas lost 14 minutes. Riding San Remo was obviously a mistake.

And the overall win has never been decided on this circuit.

No he won't, twenty seconds is nothing when both Froome and Contador can put two and a half to three minutes in him in the TT.

The first TT has over 500 meters of climbing, the second over 700 meters.

I believe Alberto will be frustrated at this point but he needs to look at the positive things. Base shape is good, second in the GC and still has a chance of winning this stage race.

what I mean is everyone says we hadn;t the legs whne they lose ...but for every one in the team to have no legs ..its a team of top riders and to be beaten by lesser riders must ask questions about tactics or prep etc...

Froome just seemed off the pace today, though he obviously rode his own pace, he does better when its hotter though, definitely will miss having Richie at the tour, Quintana has monster form today, Contador has to settle for another second I think, Ricihie looks stronger than Teejay, but this is only a week race

Nice preformance from Carthy though

It's way to early to talk about July. Big cheers for De Gendt. Froome was good earlier in the season, he'll build up. The disappointment is Aru. And Bardet. Froome's main challengers GT-wise are performing very well: Bertie is really good so far this year. And Nairito made a statement today.

Bardet was OK unless you think he should have super form now

No amount of tt's is gonna save Froome or Contador in July if they go there like this. This stage had 30 guys with 5km to go.

Yes, he only miraculously improves his shape after rest days.
Yes, how shocking someone improves after a rest day, it's almost as if they are more.... rested.

If yopu are peaking or after a period peaking a rest day is bad for you, but if you are getting shape after a rest day you are going to be much more strong.
They were being sarcastic!

only if all the mountain finishes pan out on today's scenario which is utterly doubtful.
