With all his healed fractures I bet Froome is stiff and aching like hell in the wet weather ..

The dawg is breathing hard with the effort of pretending he's actually struggling

The legendary bluffer is just teeing things up. He'll sandbag 8 mins, they'll let him go in a break and he'll take back 15.
That would be hilarious.

Froome said it himself, he is riding support for Carapaz... Don't know if he'll be of any use though with the way he is riding now...

Stepped away for a second. Last I saw, Froome had gone over the top in touch with the peloton. Now he's out of sight off the back. Did he just sit up? He fought to maintain contact and then dropped off on the descent? What's up with that?

Yeah that’s the problem if this is his limit after injury. Not going to be much help being the 6th/7th strongest on the team.

Is Froome going for the lanterna roja or something?

That looked almost purposeful.

Ineos drilled it again at the top so he didn't quite make contact and they kept it on long enough he didn't get back in early on the descent. After a bit of hard chasing it looked like he decided to just be conservative through the corners and they properly distanced him,
