ElChingon said:That should be a requirement of the stage, add the downing of one hot coffee and a large danish at the halfway mark. Lets see who wins then!![]()

If Froome will catch Contador? Not sure if you're serious?webvan said:That's a pretty mean ITT, when was the last time we had something like that (other than a climb like Alpe d'Huez 2004 or Chamrousse 2001) ? 2009 Annecy ? Hill was easier, no ? St Etienne 1997 ? I wonder if Froome will catch Bertie ad Bertie Valverder...at least they'll have something to aim for.

I think Alberto will win today.

Martin, Contador, Froome, Gesink, Valverde.
I expect only Martin- no other pure ITTers to get in the top 5. It will be the combination of the heat/ the hard race.
Castrajevo, Boom and Porte have all had to work for leaders but could give it a shot.

It's hard to find 10 guys more suited to this course in this field than Gesink.Kwibus said:Gesink should do well, but won't compete with the best. Actually if he rides a top10 it would be fantastic since he never really rode a great TT in an GC.
Fidolix said:I hope not anyone is serious when they say Froome will catch AC.
It will be a close race between Froome and AC, but my money is on AC, I think he´s better prepared, and the better decenter of the 2.
Porte? I wonder how long time he can continue performing 3 levels higher than he ever was. It´s amazing how much one can improve during a winter training.
I doubt he will be allowed to go full throttle, a long and hard season with 2 gt´s back to back, and with another 2 hard weeks in the mountains to come I doubt it very much, but hey, who knows, with the new revolutionary training methods Sky uses, anything is possible.
And Contador said he would like to take Armstrong's determinationMellow Velo said:Eurosport did a parallel interview with Contador and Froome, yesterday.
Both were asked to name three cyclists and the quality they would like to take from them.
Both agreed on just one: Big Mig and his ITT ability.
They also asked who was their cycling idol.
Froome: Jens Voigt.
Contador: Lance Armstrong.![]()
