Contador shows the cycling world he's back. Will win it by at least 30 seconds and over a minute from third.

I really hope that you are right. I'm predicting that purito will be upgraded to second place. Who's the first one, dunno yet. It's a hill TT, so everyone got somewhat similar advantage. As much as I want AC to win, I think he'll finish in the middle of the pack of 4 contenders? *again he is being consistent for 3 weeks* - then… fireworks in the mountain!!!! :D

That's a pretty mean ITT, when was the last time we had something like that (other than a climb like Alpe d'Huez 2004 or Chamrousse 2001) ? 2009 Annecy ? Hill was easier, no ? St Etienne 1997 ? I wonder if Froome will catch Bertie ad Bertie Valverder...at least they'll have something to aim for.
If Froome will catch Contador? Not sure if you're serious?

I think Alberto will win today.

I still believe the stage win is between Conta & Froome-BUT don't discard PORTE at all;)

No one can but i wonder if Sky will allow him to ride at full gas.

Martin, Contador, Froome, Gesink, Valverde.

I expect only Martin- no other pure ITTers to get in the top 5. It will be the combination of the heat/ the hard race.

Castrajevo, Boom and Porte have all had to work for leaders but could give it a shot.

Based on one's confidence, in case Froome overtakes Contador, one will have to say "I know nothing about cycling" :D

This TT is too hard and long for Boom.
Gesink should do well, but won't compete with the best. Actually if he rides a top10 it would be fantastic since he never really rode a great TT in an GC.
I don't expect Porte to challenge the top3 really.

It's hard to predict how Martin will do. He's the best TT rider of them all, but it's a really tough course. I'm sure he will ride top3.
Top3 should consist of Froome, Contador and Martin, but I'm sure there will be an upset.
I really can't decide between these 3 for the win though.

It's hard to find 10 guys more suited to this course in this field than Gesink.

Eurosport did a parallel interview with Contador and Froome, yesterday.
Both were asked to name three cyclists and the quality they would like to take from them.
Both agreed on just one: Big Mig and his ITT ability.

They also asked who was their cycling idol.
Froome: Jens Voigt.
Contador: Lance Armstrong.

I hope not anyone is serious when they say Froome will catch AC.

It will be a close race between Froome and AC, but my money is on AC, I think he´s better prepared, and the better decenter of the 2.

Porte? I wonder how long time he can continue performing 3 levels higher than he ever was. It´s amazing how much one can improve during a winter training.
I doubt he will be allowed to go full throttle, a long and hard season with 2 gt´s back to back, and with another 2 hard weeks in the mountains to come I doubt it very much, but hey, who knows, with the new revolutionary training methods Sky uses, anything is possible.

Nah, all Sky riders will take it easy today except Froome, and maybe Henao.

Tony stated that the route doesn't suit him at all.
So i am not sure it will be a blow out anymore.
Tony might just win by a slim margin. 45 seconds or something.

And Contador said he would like to take Armstrong's determination

(in the courtroom, perhaps)

Today's time trial reminds me on the traditional El Timblo -Avila TT which they used to do a few times back in the day. It was 46km and featured a climb in the middle similar to today's TT.

Martin starting at 14:49 means we'll miss the probably winning ride completely, too bad.
