Why is Saxo riding so much? They have shown that, in general, they don't have the horses to support AC and you know that when crunch time comes Sky will be there.

Saxo is going to blow up the peloton, and they will do as much as anyone to isolate Contador.

Contador has shown in the past that when **** hits the fan he has no problem if he has no teammates with him, unlike some other riders.

They didn't have anyone in the break. So it was up to them and probably Sky to chase. I don't think it is going to make much of a difference at the end of the day.

Absolutely correct. However, they are guaranteeing this outcome. Though they look to be putting a ton into difficulty.
