It's clear what AC were trying to do.
What I don't get is what were Purito & Piti doing.
I don't buy they're both in trouble

For such an intricate tactic, rather than just trying to snap the elastic, Bertie must be feeling REALLY good

This is slow pedaling with the leaders and the domestiques pulling away.

I like it, even though the pace is not high. Pretty cool to watch.

I don't think they are in trouble either, at least not yet.

Whats Froome doing? Is he with Contador and Purito or has he just blown?

blown? if he was blown by contadors current pace he should become a sprinter. contador and purito are softpedalling at a back of a group and froome is in front of them by like 20 riders.

He was ahead of them, I think! But not looking great. I'm as confused as everyone on what went on there:confused:

Contador didn't start this , he just reacted to the situation.

It's clearly all mind games. And quite frankly, the non static tactics are always good to see.

Obviously he tried to fake that he was in trouble á la Armstrong at Col de Glandon. Saxo didnt buy that and Contador went back to have a look on him. In the process Saxo created a gap so that AC would have his teammates later on. People then wondered if Alberto was bad too and didnt looked at what going on in the front (where the Saxos slipping away). That is ****ing chess.

What i dont get is what the hell Katusha is doing.

The problem with the bluff theory is, what does Purito stand to gain from it? Why would he do it?

Yes, this makes sense. Froome also playing along once he got what was happening behind.

well it's quite risky to stand at the back of the peloton when your opponent is AC. I dunno...

His comments yesterday that he was one attack away from blowing? Trying to bluff AC into going early maybe?
