600.000 people? Only one explanation

Machado called all his friends.

Machado wins this obviously, if he has a good day he might even podium the vuelta.

Clarke to win the KOM then, unless Purito does really well on Bola?

This wasn't a gift. Nibali tries to pass Mosquera, but when "Eze" notices Nibali he accelarates.

didn't appear to be a gift to me, not like Tiralongo at the Giro, that last 3k is a freaking beast, not sure how wise an early attack would be. Especially if you are 1st overall. Just hold on and let the other two burn out and then stick a fork in them at the end. We shall see.

Are there any tickers yet?

A punch up for 2nd place on the last part of the climb seems likely. Valverde will have a fight on to keep his place on GC.

Apparently Purito said on a Spanish radio show he'll try to send teammates forward and attack on the penultimate climb.

Good for Alberto, let Purito make himself tired and then attack for the win

Another loser to win the KoM.

Hoping Jrod can still manage to take it, but I doubt that.

That's harsh. Direct your frustration onto the competition format, not the guys who are racing for it.

Simon Clarke is just unlucky to not be called Simon de Clercq, then everything would be fine with El Calimero.

After years of seeing this competition go down the gutter I'm directing it at the guys who win it.

This used to be a prestigious competition, not the Vuelta one, but at least the jersey of the Tour and Giro. People like Virenque have degraded this jersey.

Agree

The GC contenders have made no effort to accumulate KOM points even if it meant pulling out and overtaking their domestique for 10 metres. They have shown no interest so they don't win it.

No worries, Menchov's going to make sure he doesn't score any points.
