Dont really expect anything from AC but just glad to have him back. Hopefully he'll be able to stay with the top guns and be able to contest for a stage or two and possibly settle for within the 5th place.

The Dawg is the man to beat assuming he got the prep right.

Contador will either not feature for the GC and Moncoutie is way to 2 stage wins + KOM + great shape for Worlds and end of season races, or he'll feature for GC and either win like a hero or go down like a legend

Voted for the Dawg as, if he's in top shape it's pretty much physically impossible to beat him :p

Nevertheless, providing at least two out of Froome, Horner, Contador and Quintana are on form should be a cracking race.

In reality I think Froome will probably win. Quintana will obviously be his biggest competitor. Voted AC although I know he will not win. :D Basically I'm hoping that he has been lying to us and that he has had several days of pain free climbing and that he is ready for a mutant Froome. With Froome and Quintana marking each other, he'll win easily. :p

So, we have:

Contador
Quintana
Froome
Horner
Evans
Kelderman
Talansky
Aru
Uran
Purito
Betancur
Valverde

I mean, wow.
The basque ninja will also ride the Vuelta and finish higher on the gc than many of those guys ;)

Yep. Remember, 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything! It's a very important difference.

Damn, a once in a lifetime opportunity to say that and you got it Netserk.

The question's who wins La Vuelta, not who's your favorite rider.

Again the OP failed to include Talansky in the poll. He somehow managed to list Betancur :rolleyes:

Will Talansky even be going for GC after all his crashes at the Tour? iirc Vaughters said the leaders would be Martin and Ryder.

You're correct, Talanksy has said that he will ride support for Martin and Ryder. A bummer in my opinion...Talansky would have done a way better job over the 3 weeks.

Do you have any proofs to support that? Don't tell me he can do better over 3 weeks just because he won the Dauphiné. Martin+Hesjedal are probably the best duo in the peloton. By that, i mean that they are really big friends and in addition, they won many races because they were helping each other, something that Talansky never did( Vaughters stated during the TDF that Talansky has to be more close to his teammates and communicates more with them, something like that).
Prediction for Garmin-Sharp in the Vuelta:
Hesjedal= podium( Yes, i believe it. The route suits him very well.)
Martin= top10( 1 stage win)
Talansky= top15

Martin's best GC result is 13th in the Vuelta. Talansky was 10th in the Tour last year.

That said, I do think that Talansky is way overrated at the moment.
