Froome can be in trouble but nobody cares!! Wky did simon attack!? Stupid orica
Yeah a better strategy would probably have been to let Simon set a strong tempo first and then have Adam attack.

Pretty sure Simon has less legs than Skys doms. He lost so much time in the first week. I can't see him leading the main group with 4 or 5 Sky domestiques still aboard. They could get rid of him instantly. Why not attacking and see who can bridge later on?
If he sets a high tempo that he can't sustain, that may still blow up some of Sky's riders and then they can't wait for them to come back if Adam attacks.

If they could they would but they cant. Yates has bridged.
2nd statement contradicts the first. If Yates can bridge then so could better climbers.

Not sure this was the right tactic by Orica, now that they have backed off Sky is in full control again.
Hope the descent can break the stranglehold.

That's why attacking before the train is properly set can be rewarded. Risky but the only way to do it, especially because none of the contenders can collaborate a bit against Sky.. Podium spots are way too important. On that point, I must agree with him.

Another Sky yawnfest.

I don't blame sky for the lack of attacking racing by the other teams, just a shame some of the others don't try and gang up on them and fire attacks off the front to make sky get out of their tempo riding style a bit more often. Its almost like they've jedi mind tricked the others into just sitting and following.

I think you are totally missing the point. The infernal pace set by Sky simply prevent any of them from attacking, that is the whole point of the train.

I 100% get the point, but my point is why blame Sky? if they produce a tactic and execute that tactic, it is up to the other teams 'racing' them to develop a tactic to counter-act Sky.

Could be worth the shot, but we never see this and I don't know why either? Reminds me on the early slopes of stage 3, when Froome was fairly isolated during a few hundred meters.

This time it's a slow Sky pace.

Ok maybe not infernal at the minute but certainly not slow. With 6 sky's at the front it would be a suicide attack for a GC guy to go off the front half way up the penultimate climb with a descent and another climb still ahead.

People have been saying this for years- 'just set a high pace and drop the sky train'.

If that was achievable, it would happen fairly often. It's just not worth the effort for most teams. Even if someone does succeed in isolating Froome, chances are they'll just end up being dropped by Froome anyway. If Froome is dropped before the last couple of ks, he'll have at least one team mate nearby to help pace him back more often than not.
