It was Mohoric and not Woods. Anyway 35km everybody together still.

"13:12:20 CEST

It seems Michael Woods - 8th overall at 1:52 - is also part of this Bardet group, which might well explain the peloton's reluctance to allow it to sally clear."

Yep, but was a mistake in the report. I have my sources! :D

Well, okay then :D
Would not have gone far anyway!

Bob Jungels (Quick-Step Floors), Alessandro De Marchi (BMC), Antonio Pedrero (Movistar), Lennard Hofstede (Sunweb), Romain Bardet (AG2R-La Mondiale), Simon Clarke (Cannondale-Drapac), Antwan Tolhoek (LottoNL-Jumbo), Matej Mohoric (UAE Team Emirates), Sander Armée (Lotto Soudal), Giovanni Visconti (Bahrain-Merida), Igor Anton (Dimension Data), David Arroyo (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), Conor Dunne (Aqua Blue Sport), Aldemar Reyes (Manzana Postobon) enjoy a 2'20" after 55km of hard racing.

Was expecting Jungels to be there, hope he can succeed. A few better climbers in that group, but the last climb could suit him.

Me too. Could diesel his way up there a treat, but if the break stays away then there's probably very little stopping Bardet getting his stage win.

It's now or never; today's the best chance to make up time on the leader.

9 times out of 10 it's all the contenders who crash or lose time while the leader extends his lead, though. I don't think today will be an exception but there's always a small chance.
