This will get to the finish most probably.
Some of them at least.
Peloton seemingly keeping break in check at the moment though.

Well, forgot that Anton is quite near in GC, so must be kept in check.

If Bardet is at its best, or near it, he can't lose this. But the leaders may not give him a big margin.

Sky it not giving a chance to them. A bit more tan 3 minutes right now. Igor Anton is 18th with 5:54 from Chris Froome.

4 minutes now.

Anton is not a problem for Froome. Even if he leads by 3 minutes at the end of today's stage, he will lose 4 on the time trial.

It's not the Sky way to leave anything to chance, so they'll close this down.

Today we might finally see what impact riders like Aru and Zakarin will have on the race, as they haven't been able to do much on the muritos.

I think the two climbs will be sufficient to bring the gap down to 1-2 minutes.

IMO, it could be close but for now looks like they won't survive
Bunch should speed up before the climb

Pozzovivo out of the race

Anyway it's raining cats and dogs, high speed, two hard climbs coming and high altitude.
I would be extremely surprised if it doesn't end in total carnage.

Chris Froome (Team Sky) announced during yesterday's press conference he was interested in the victory at Calar Alto: “Tomorrow is a good opportunity maybe for us to fight for the stage victory, so maybe it's not such a good day for the breakaway. I don't know the climb at all. I'll have to ask Alberto Contador about it. It's his training area, he knows it very well. But I imagine with it being the first very high mountain finish, we'll see a very aggressive race towards the final and certainly guys like Alberto Contador will want to try and make up time. I imagine Alberto will be very aggressive.”
Team Sky maintain the gap around 4'20" with 70km to go.

So Sky want the stage. Why didn't any of the reports mention Froome's quote about wanting the stage, I seen about three reports of the same quote about asking Contador, but none mentioned his first sentence. Anyway, wanting and getting are different things, I can see A. Yates launching an early attack when they start climbing.
