Not sure they're going to catch the break, cannondale duo seems done, but I guess they won't be able to hold 30 sec gap anyway.

Meintjes may not be the best metric but I've heard at least one poster mention that the top performers were pulling over 7 watts/kg. Simply amazing, if true.
For how long?

Mostly short steep stuff so 10-30 minutes for the climbs. Obviously the performance would dip if the climbs were an hour long.

They are very short climbs, British hill climb amateurs pull that kind of watts.

No they dont ....and the watts are over the whole stages not just the final climbs

Every stage has been ridden hard and fast ... not one stage has been easy ...that is what is the issue not 13 minute climbs
Yes. But they are still short climbs. No the same comparison.

These Sky guys are completely obsessed with thic race. We need someone to go for one second so that nobody else takes away ONE second from our leader.

I don't know how much wattage comparisons matter, but it's obvious this Vuelta is a really hard race already, and it's believable it's harder than the Tour was this year.

What fight? Froome is three minutes ahead of his biggest rival. There is no fight.

Prediction time

Contador to beat Froome in sprint, then Woods a few seconds back, then Zakarin leading Nibali, Chaves, Aru and one or two others, maybe Adam Yates.

Nobody likes Sky, that's why cycling has become less popular over these last few years.

~10 min ok, but 7 W/kg for 30 min is just a big fat lie.

Not even Brits like Froome, that's why they pass him over for prestigious awards.
