Quintana is pathetic. MAL should just ignore him and do his own thing.

Surely its the other way round. MAL was the stronger rider, and should have won the stage. But he didn't attack just follwed, refused to work with Quintana and ultimately ended up second but still with enough strength to outsprint Valverde.

That's how I see it. They both put in those pitiful attacks, the difference is Quintana also worked on the front

Love the cooperation between Valverde and Quintana there. Valverde might've cost Nairo a valuable 10 seconds there.

Not really sure what a team-mate can do to help on gradients like that. It's every man for themselves.

I think both Quintana and Lopez were stupid today.

They could have taken time on Yates but decided to race against each other instead. Yates will win this bike race if this Colombian feud continues.

No chance of this. Quintana, when he has decent form (and he does seem to have decent form right now) is a good TTist. In Spain, he is a very good time triallist . He'll put time into Yates.

Would have been interesting to see what Kruijswijk could have done if he didn't decide to ride the climb as a series of intervals. He looked in pretty good shape today. Kelderman on the other hand

Frankly I don't understand the criticism. He would not want to drag Lopez to the line.
