Quintana is pathetic. MAL should just ignore him and do his own thing.
Surely its the other way round. MAL was the stronger rider, and should have won the stage. But he didn't attack just follwed, refused to work with Quintana and ultimately ended up second but still with enough strength to outsprint Valverde.

That's how I see it. They both put in those pitiful attacks, the difference is Quintana also worked on the front

Love the cooperation between Valverde and Quintana there. Valverde might've cost Nairo a valuable 10 seconds there.
Not really sure what a team-mate can do to help on gradients like that. It's every man for themselves.

Can’t stand Simon Yates

I want to love Quintana, really, but Yates rides the way I want Quintana to ride. He waits for the opening and goes for it.

I just don't understand Quintana.
Yates is a 800m specialist, not my style of rider

Too bad Quintana doesn't realize it.............

I think both Quintana and Lopez were stupid today.

They could have taken time on Yates but decided to race against each other instead. Yates will win this bike race if this Colombian feud continues.

Guess you weren't watching this years Giro then?
Yeah he attacked once from 15km out, but his nature is to wait until
The end
And that's how you win on a climb like this one.

Meh. Perfect stage for the "I'll just sit in the wheels until final km" riders.
So all the riders I don't like in front, logically :D

Also figuring in the time trial . . . Yates will put a minute or so into Quintana, maybe more into MAL.
No chance of this. Quintana, when he has decent form (and he does seem to have decent form right now) is a good TTist. In Spain, he is a very good time triallist ;). He'll put time into Yates.

But Valverde is going to beat all of them in a TT, and 'his climb' awaits tomorrow.

Lopez was the strongest today. But he never works with anybody. Hopefully a lesson learnt for him.

Would have been interesting to see what Kruijswijk could have done if he didn't decide to ride the climb as a series of intervals. He looked in pretty good shape today. Kelderman on the other hand

Quintana Quintana! Quintana! Quintana! Quintana! Quintana! ...WTF ???

He did not attack on the part where he was strongest ...no balls

Compare him to Valverde ,to Steve K, to Nibali .......he is a mouse...loads of talent but a mouse
He attacked multiple times.

Frankly I don't understand the criticism. He would not want to drag Lopez to the line.
