Smart move, indeed. Hoping for an attack from Lopez or Quintana BEFORE Monte Oiz. I think that's the only way to crack Yates.

The day of Covadonga the helicopter scared some cows and they entered the road when there was a group of riders who had been dropped from the leaders group going through

So did all that leg-saving by Lotto-Jumbo yesterday have a purpose for today?

I'm guessing that the thinking is that the best way to protect SK on a stage that suits attacks in the steep stretches is to make a high enough pace, Sky-style, to make an attack unviable, but they are going to run out of km in which to tire the potential GC attackers at this rate.
