Campenaerts, "totally useless as a WT-rider", dixit Der Effe. ;)

Bora applying the most disgusting tactic in cycling. Pathetic.
I didn't see anything. Was Pöstlberger refusing to work?

Yes, he's just there to sabotage the break. Or steal a victory.

I'd really like to know the time gap. On another note, did a gc contender drop or what is Movistar doing?

Taking the front on a technical descent? Probably just a precaution. Not exactly a new tactic.

Man, it seems like Pöstlberger really doesn't want to work with someone else :D

And now Pöstlberger goes solo. Classy.

He decided to participate in the breakaway just before Campenaerts decided to attack on his own (he pulled in front of the group). He's not the one that decided to go solo first here

What is the gap between the Mate group and peloton? Vuelta still dont showcase the gaps too well.

I guess you missed the part where Campenaerts was working his ass off in that break for 20km? Meanwhile Pöstlberger was wheelsucking all the way.

To be fair, Pöstlberger looked like he was on the limit on the climb and probably couldn't do all that much there. Also, if Campenaerts is working anyway it would be tactically stupid to help him.

Hm, that will be tough for Pöstlberger.

Not without a chance, but a massive effort if he makes it.

I have no problem with a Pöstleberger and his tactics but you can hardly say Campenaerts was the same situation. He seemed to be doing more than his share of the work

Eeeeh… Pöstlberger. It's too early to be doing a Pöstlberger.
Everything has a right to grow.

So we're extending "doing a Pöstlberger" from "going solo with 1 K to go" to "going solo with 10 Ks to go"?

Doesn't seem possible. He'll be caught within the next two kilometers.

Really? He looked pretty comfortable. And if you actually want to win the stage, it makes perfect sense to work in that group to increase the chance of staying away.
