I think it really depends what kind of infection it is. A common cold (without fever) impacts your capabilities only slightly (it can cause some breathing discomfort of course). Infection with moderate fever is a different beast, one can crack completely.
It sounds similar to what Teddy had in the Tour. Partly why he was so tired in the end.

If Vingegaard and Vine are equal on points, who wins the KOM?
Vingegaard, because he won higher category?
 
Have to pick Vingegaard today to win the stage and the Vuelta today. Almeida has been strong despite his under performing team but the final 3 kilometers of this mountain is something else.

Hindley to prevail over Pidcock but I am far from confident as Tom is simply riding out of his skin.
