There is only one strategy left for UAE, huge pace with all your riders then attack and pray to god.

Bonus seconds will definitely be nice but I don't think it's worth it if you end up using up all your riders controlling a break and can't set an acceptable pace on the last climb.

even tho vingo has been sick.
Where has this been reported? Haven't seen it. Or is it a case of someone inventing something on the internet and it becoming a thing?

Edit: Okay, I see @Netserk posted an interview in the Vingegaard thread. So he has indeed been sick, then.

A cold. It´s common in the peloton. Pogacar spent half Tour with a cough and a hoarse voice.

Almeida also said he had a cold when the Vuelta started.

So without the bonus seconds Jonas as would be only 20 seconds ahead
And without the shortening of the TT Almeida would be in the lead

Jonas had the best team. I know I keep going on about it but you rarely get chances to win Grand Tours and to be close so close will haunt Almeida

Great riders like Landa, Purito and Uran were close but never won a GT..and many more others

If my calculations are right, Vingegaard would be 26 seconds ahead. And I don't think Almeida would put 30 more seconds in the TT if it wasn't shortened.
I'd say 15-20 extra seconds max, which would make Vingegaard couple of seconds ahead.
