You are too late, although your topic title is correct when it comes to the dates though

I changed it to a Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol thread instead now. :D

Interesting to see how the young Pablo Torres of UAE would perform against the veteran climbers in stage 2. Unable to show his mettle during the Tour DownUnder due to his supporting role to Jonathan Narvaez.

He did accidentally drop the entire peloton on a small rise when he was riding at the front in TDU though, so he might be good here.

Interested to see how Hatherly goes when he's the leader by design rather than accident (like how he was in AlUla). Berhe, Double and Foldager should provide good mountain support.

Lol, no wonder they have a 126 page roadbook with such nonsense.

DNS Fabio Christen, after his crash yesterday. I hope the injury isn't too bad, cause he was stepping up, hence his Murcia win.

Tomorrow’s climbs:

Alto Mirador de Axarquía, Alto del Zurrón and the rolling section after it:

Alto de Periana (only the first 9.3k):

Alto de Canillas:

Alto de Frigiliana (final 8.2k only):

Don’t have a profile of the ramp to the finish, it’s pretty easy until 450 metres to go from where it kicks up at an average of just under 8%.

Also worth noting that the penultimate descent in particular is quite technical.

Non of the climbs is particularly selective. This profile could work quite well after a TT/MTF.
As stage one... I'm not so sure.
