Today it was a long and hard day, more with the wind and rain, and the vbevgining was fast during 50 kms, and it is a second day of effort. That is better for Froome.

Big % slopes is not the best for him, but today was an ally, becouse that way is easier to drop anybody.

The team did very well today, not as yesterday, and they could use Nieve.

Tomorrow there is still fight for GC.

Great spectacle.

All Froome needs is the same time as Contador and he's proven he can beat him in uphill sprints. Froome should win.

Me wasnt born either but certainly not.

I'm not talking about same race conditions etc, just about two men at the top of their heights (and above anyone else) who are fighthing each other till dead and for the future of cycling (in terms of excitement and prestige).

In 40 years, we will speak of current rivalries as great as we know do of rivalries in the 50's/60's and 70's. Just because that's the function of history.

it's an outrage ,,,,,Tears are falling.

King Bertie beaten by an elbows out spinny man.

I shall now go and hit the JD really hard and hope all will be back to normal tomorrow and Bertie shall be king again and I will not have to much of an hangover to cope with.

No point making excuses for Bertie "wrong gears. Ant build up on his tyres"
Froome spins a girly gear " sexist" and Bertie should have prepared just in case this nightmare thing that could have happened has actually happened and it did. I'm bleeding inside .....nooooooooooooooooooo:D

well done Froome ,,,you git wizard.

yeah.. i guess he should just say.. the climb didn't suit me yesterday. And I was struggling. Today it doesn't look like Froome's training is way behind either. That excuses doesn't work anymore... :D

The stage didnt suit him, yesterday he show the same level that Alberto, but he wams his legs up late in the climb becouse it was a short stage, and they did esier than today.

Today he was a point better than Contador, but with Purito here at his level nothing to do.

It is not the climb, it is the stage.

I said yesterday today I didnt rule out the idea of Froome droping Contador, but I it was hard to expect this difference...but Nieve was close to Contador after work, so Contador wanst super.

SKY did well pushing in the previus climb, 4 Km at 6 %

Well that was a treat for cycling fans.....the two best guys mano a mano on two consecutive days with each taking a victory. This is why I watch cycling, it never fails to get me out of my chair!

What a season we have to look forward to. Better make sure my heart meds are available :).

It's a 5-day race in February. It's fine. The problem is when GTs and the like only have the same thing on the menu.

Oh sure, I'm not complaining about how the riders raced, I just don't understand why on earth people reply here as if this is some sort of super epic stage, the epitome of cycling or whatever when in reality it was pretty standard and they only raced for 2km. I don't blame Froome for waiting with his final attack. I'm just surprised at people replying as if this stage was really epic, which it wasn't at all. It was a 1 climb stage, which saw 2km of racing in Februari. It was exciting that it was so close, but that's about it.......

If Milka will loose this for one second he maybe will reconsider that shoo(i)ting sign on the line. After all, he's a man in his thirties and that is a high school volleyball girl thing.

Oh please. Bertie is the king. He may not be the best, but he definitely is the king.

Quoted for truth.

One of the reasons I dont like the guy.

Too bad we didnt see a saddled acceleration by the Froomster. Guess that is only for Ventoux.

No you're wrong, this wasn't a stupid uphil sprint at all.

Okay, it wasn't that stupid on the part of the riders, because of how this stage was designed and because it's a ****ty small race februari, but it was just the standard short steep Spanish MTF that saw like 2km of racing. I'm sorry, but those silly steep MTF's with 2km of racing are just boring. I don't care if it's Contador, Froome or Eddy Merckx. 2km races aren't epic at all. Even if I can't blame the riders for only racing for 2km's in this case, it's still kinda boring.....
