The peloton splits down to 20 again but based on the previous reports I would guess that the bigger groups will come back together again since it's quite long to go after the big climb.

what, to have no riders in the main group :eek:

Damn, you really took this literal? :p That was actually a joke. Need to work on making that more clear in the furture.

And then he'd wait on the top, eating ice-cream? Looks like we have a Bahamontes in the making.

Why would they? It's a training camp, for crying out loud. Menchov is not exactly the kind of guy who rides his guts out if he doesn't have to.

Right about Menchov, but Geox is not full of Menchovs either. Of course it's just an anecdote and it doesn't mean much... compared to Duarte's previous history.

Anyway, Duarte has caught Ramírez and put 3 minutes on the group. It's hard to judge from a ticker, but that's probably pretty impressive.

Since when does Ryo ever come with decent arguments to back something up?

Don't expect the impossible.

Of course, what he's doing right now is impressive. But beating Menchov uphill on a training camp, not so much.

this reminds me of asturias last year, he climbed at like double speed of the rest. cano paced him and then he went loose.

Either the ticker was wrong or the gap has come down, it now says Duarte and Ramirez have 1:57 over a group of 30

Im sitting here reading how awesome Duarte is and how hes getting big time over the peloton until i read that theres still 50k to go. So hes wasting this super early season strengh on ultimately nothing.
