Okay, it's kinda hard to see exactly what's going on, but I'm failing to see the "it looks like Del Toro deliberately grapped Ciccone's wheel" thing. Seems his hand was just in a very unfortunate position after he'd come down.

(I obviously don't think he crashed on purpose.)

Pogacar didn't look around before steering out. That move gets made 70000 times a race.

This is obviously a self-inflicting crash mostly but I think if we gotta start somewhere we should just ban dudes who start crashes.
Thats just a stupid idea. You cannot ban riders who crashes unless they do stupid and reckless ***. Del Toro clearly did not, his wheel slipped under him in a hectic finale with 200 m to go. That happens in cycling.

THJ clearly clipped Pogacar and went across the road. Regardless of Pog being on the radio with one hand, you cannot do that.

Pogi wouldn't have crashed if his hands were on his handlebar and he looked up ahead.

Ciccone couldn't avoid going down even if he could jump like Sagan.
Not to mention most of the controversy about Pog's crash was if the other riders should have waited or not, not who was actually to blame for the crash.

That is outside some morons sending threats to THJ but that never deserves to be taken seriously.

Counterpoint, if you can't control your bike to not go down first and take other riders with you, maybe you're already being stupid and reckless.

Yeah, Vingegaard fan.
Ad hominem.
Basically, IYO, it's almost like saying a woman should also be blamed for wearing a short skirt before being raped.
Be real.

When in traffic, all parties should be attentive and try to avoid dangerous situations. Being in the right doesn't help one bit if you are careless and get hurt because of that.

So you seriously think watching that crash again that what Del Toro did was stupid and reckless?

Reminds me of those instances where some rich kid T-bones a car killing a 2 people doing 180kph but the lawyer claims the victims didn't look around and didn't have the right of way.

For me it's very obvious what is happening. You clearly have double standarts. But I'm not too surprised specially from the guy who said that stage could save the Tour.
A standard with greater complexity than a single bit is not a double standard.

Not doing 180 on a 50 limit road is slightly bigger, as you're sort of programmed to assume that car at 100m from you isn't gonna kill you in 2s
You just made up the 50 limit after the rest of your scenario. 180 in 100 with the right of way, you could at least partly blame the people in the slow car.

Now youare vident? This is your way to "absolve" THJ of any guilty? Even when the rider himself admitted?
Let’s move on.
So you hate waffles?

I have not absolved THJ of blame at any point. I made a true statement about the counter-factual.

I'm paraphrasing, but it happened inside a city over here.

But the general concept applies, even if someone else is slightly wrong that's not a freebie to just *** them. The only time that applies is when goal keepers get to kick amputate the knees of opponents after the offside flag goes up.

I hope Ciccone is ok. But Lidl should think about new liders because Skjelmose and Ciccone are the definition of being unlucky. For them is an achievement to finish a race.

Otoh, when they do finish races, they tend to get some... fairly okay results.
